It is, indeed, Vegnagun's glyph.
I've been trying to integrate it into something I can use to put between my Yevon and Zanarkand sigils. ^_^ I'm not sure I like the wings the way they are (or more importantly, if they'll fit in the space or anything) but I figured, what the hell, I'll post what I have...
Nice... but you got some mistakes with your design, most prominently that you should NOT put that design with those wings. Also, the central design is cross culture, between two groups who would consider the merging an insult.
Truth be honest, Square-Enix (I'm never gonna get used to calling them that) goes out of their way to make sure that all their symbolics have the proper markings to display the ideal perfectly. They screw up putting it in the wrong area ^_^.
Too many wings on this gives it a meaning that might make this popular with posers of pagan, wiccan and goth, but a real person of any of those three would break your fingers for that(on a light scale).
I still don't have any idea what you're talking about. The symbol is a graphical representation of what Vegnagun looks like. Note the shape and position of the six legs. It also echoes the Bevellite script letter 'A', also known as the glyph of Yevon, defining who built it.
Thanks for the info about the symbols
Sorry that you get negative responses because of them though - I probably shouldn't comment, because it might invite other angry comments in return, but I really can't believe that some people can say things like 'you CAN'T mix those symbols', or 'it's an insult! etc'.... really...were they THERE at the time someone was first inspired to first create it? wence the hell cometh the authority? Anyway, I've been pissing people off by mixing symbols together for years ... so welcome to the club I guess
(normally negative comments about things like that don't bother me too much, but I had this horrid encounter today that's ruined my mood for at least the next 24 hours)
Anyway though - I like the design
