Of all the people in FF8, Wedge is the one I felt the most sorry for. No one ever listens to him, he's always in the shadow of his (dense as a brick) commanding officer, and he gets his aft handed to him not once but -twice-. AND he gets demoted. How fair is that?

Anyhow, yeah, I know you never see him in the game with his helmet off, but this is my take on Lieutenant Wedge, practicing with his sword and his healing magic at sunset. Poor guy's gotta have -some- time to wind down from all that stress.

Wedge! Freaking awesome!

There totally needs to be more art for this guy and Biggs (and Galbadian Soldiers, Dollet Soldiers, and White SeeD in general as well).

Nice to see an interpretation of what he would look like without his helmet visor.

Wedge is a character in a story I seriously intend to publish as a work-for-hire on behalf of Square. It's good that someone else can sympathize with him and even flesh out his appearance. On that note, this one is now a favorite. Keep up the work. And could you try to draw a White SeeD, by any chance? There's practically no fucking coverage for those guys, either. People center on the main characters too much to be any fun...
