Takeji is a ghost... specifically a ghost of vengeance, or yuurei in Japanese. Though he doesn't normally manifest with wings... he's a ghost, I don't know why he couldn't if he wanted to. The bloodied kanji were carved into his mortal body's flesh as part of the ritual to bind him to the mortal plane long after when he should have departed it... they remain with him in his spiritual form.

His hair needs to look more ghost like, maybe more of a blueish tint. Other than that I really like it.
