You only ever see the MALE gnolls in WoW. Given that hyenas are matriarchal...just... where are the girls? What are THEY like?! ...Scary, that's what!

I like this a lot. Your art is very competent, and I like the brown/sepia colouring this linework has. I'm also a big fan of hyenas, and I like WoW. Gotta fave this!

Every time someone claims that D&D gnolls are patriarchal, this tends to be my response:

Needless to say, I've suggested on several game boards that they should be matriarchal. It's been met with everything from "Of course!" to "But they're not really hyenas..."

In my "realm" (I don't have anyone nearby to play D&D, but I have a bunch of ideas worked out in my mind) this sword-toting bitch would undeniably be the matriarch of her clan - and likely have to regularly fend off ambitious younger females seeking to claim then throne.

Men, ruling gnoll clans? Yeah right. Gnoll women are fiercer, tougher, and have bigger dicks than gnoll men - literally. Men are just good for breeding and grunt work... and even with the gruntwork, they'll pick slaves to do it before males.
